International Women’s Day (2020)

In commemorating the annual international women’s day Boundless Hands Africa in collaboration with YALI Lagos and also Supported by IHS Towers Nigeria, American Space Cchubs organised a sensitization walk and a panel session discussion on the 7th of March 2020 to celebrate women and advocate for an equal and better world for all. In attendance were 270 young female and male between the ages of 18 and 35, who all participated in the sensitization walk and the panel session. At the end of the program participants where equip skills and knowledge to excel without limits and pursue their career path.

International Women’s Day (2019)

On the March 8, 2019 International Women’s Day, Boundless Hands Africa in collaboration with IHS Towers implemented a fully-sponsored Women in Leadership conference that brought 450 young women aged 18-35 years to Lagos state to learn from 10 highly placed female leaders from various fields who shared their stories, knowledge and empowered the young female leaders on how to become lasting women in leadership. UN Women was in attendance and gave the opening speech at the conference. At the end of the conference, there was a Business Pitch competition that awarded an innovative woman-business owner N500,000 to help scale her business.

Afri Shagamu; Unlocking The Potential in the Girl-Child Through Entrepreneurship

The leadership and Entrepreneurship outreach tagged: Unlocking the potential of the Girl child through Entrepreneurship was held at FGGC Sagamu on the 20th July 2019. The program featured mentors from different works of life who empowered the future female leaders and educated them on gender parity, leadership, and development. It aimed at improving the structural factors impending women’s potentials which are based on stereotypes and cultural norms. The program also featured leadership and entrepreneurship sessions, one-on-one mentorship, talent hunt and other fun activities.

Feminine Fair; International Day for Girl Child 2019

Boundless hands Africa in partnership with Women’s Right and Health project had a smile of fulfilment on the faces of young and vibrant out of school girls at Ejigbo LGA to celebrate this year’s International Day of the tagged. Tagged; “Girl force: Unscripted and unstoppable. It was an engaging time for us all, not only the girls were inspired to be unstoppable but everyone that made it to the event. We had 60 girls in attendance who are all testifiers that they are ready to break the boundaries and go chase their dreams. 

CSO Accountability

As one of the selected CSOs working with Coffey International in monitoring gender-based violence and youth restiveness in Lagos, Nigeria. The project is funded by the British High Commission through the Conflict, Stabilization, and Security Fund. BHA held a train the trainers program for the DPO’s, Area Commanders and the Head of Department on the Lagos state police command. The training helped equip the police force with the needed expertise to guarantee a violence free election.  The training was held on the 26th November 2018 at the Senior Officers Mess Ikeja GRA with 350 senior police officers present.

International Day for Girl Child 2018

The international day of the girl 2018 was commemorated @ the correctional centre idi-araba mushin . It was an empowerment program put together for girls who have experience any form of violence, lost but found or who ran away from home. The theme; An unstoppable Girl in a Dynamic World  focused on helping  them rise above their abuse as we inspired  them in a therapeutic way to heal and excel to become unstoppable in this dynamic world of ours. 

Boundless Hands Africa M4E

In recognition of the unequal power relation between sexes which creates and exacerbates violence against women, project M4E attempts to reshape cultural norms about the status of women in Nigerian society through advocacy and education of MEN in Informal networks. This program was carried out at August Eye a security outfit in Lagos Nigeria ,  The project enlightened men to do away with cultural  and abusive norms so that men will be able to work towards the achievement of an equitable society. The program was carried out for a month, only on Saturdays, 280 men were trained at the end of the program.
